Bath Fringe 2027 will run

The Update List
There is still confusion after the Fringe: the Carmina Trio event listed in our print programme for Sunday 14th June, has had to be postponed, by the band. But they will be now doing a larger and more exciting lineup to celebrate their new CD on Sunday October 11th at The Bell as part of Bath Folk Festival. Something similar has happened to the Dragonsfly gig [June 10], which has moved to September 23rd. I’m not suggesting a pattern here…
In all cases this website is obviously more up-to-date than the print and is always worth checking for late details.

Programme Out NOW!
Our printed programmes have arrived and will be all round the city shortly if not already: if you want to find one for sure, try The Bell. This website is being updated but we seenm to have a problem with some of the ‘search’ facility: the style links on the search page are working, however
Registration Process Open NOW!
Got a show for us?
Then EMail wendy[at]bathfringe.co.uk and let her conduct you down the road to Fringe registration!
Copy Deadline is Monday March 2nd
There will be time to revise details after that, though we’d prefer it if eveything was already settled, and late submission can affect your impact.
Registration fee is [still!] £50, with discounts for repeat events, series, etc.
There are a lot of details & guidance on this site, or linked from here. Start with this page.
More details and any changes will be posted here on the site.
Fringe 2026 Open Meeting
The public-facing Fringe year begins in January: January 12th, to be precise, when we hold our annual OPEN MEETING.
This year we’re close to home at The Bell Back Bar, right next to our office, and it’s at 6pm.
The meeting is specifically aimed at people who haven’t done our Fringe – or any Fringe – before, but we’d be happy to see you if you’ve been with us already, especially if you’re contemplating something more ambitious, or looking for collaborators, bill-sharers, or any general advice. We’ve been doing this a while and some of what we know is still useful…
There is general advice to be found elsewhere on this website, start with the page Putting a show into Bath Fringe. We will be announcing the 2026 deadlines early next year, but if you were to assume Registration was from early February and copy deadlines in early March, you wouldn’t be far wrong. Anything you need to know right now, EMail us!
What this isn’t is anything to do with Fringe Arts Bath [FaB]: their application and preparation process is completely different, and can be approached by looking at www.fringeartsbath.co.uk.
This website is still transitioning and has not yet emerged in its new year glory, but Bath Fringe 2026 will run on the usual date range May 22 – June 7.

Thanks it was LOVELY
We’ll have reports and suchlike all in good time.
We have an Audience Research Questionnaire here, if you want to help us for a minute. It was made for Bedlam but is suitable for giving us feedback on all aspects of the Fringe, as well as a bit of telling us what we need to know [we don’t sell or pass on our data].
2023 Programme – for your delectation…
This site should now be displaying the 2023 Bath Fringe festival programme.
Click HERE for the full festival lineup [or ‘What’s On’ on the main menu].
We think it’s a significant step up from last year, more artists are being more ambitious, we were all a bit still under the cloud of the pandemic in Summer ’22…
Some events are still gaining their final configuration, and also there are likely to be some mistakes, at least for the first few days until we’ve noticed them all: spot something that doesn’t make sense or doesn’t work? EMail or message us!
Fringe 2023 Application Process Open
To get your event included in Bath Fringe 2023, start by EMailing wendy@bathfringe.co.uk; she will provide you with a log-in to our submission process – you write your own listing [if necessary we edit for length or to avoid confusion].
The process will be online from
Applications close at midnight on Monday March 6
You can update your event until 6pm on Friday March 17 [or later in ‘emergencies’]
The Fringe runs from Friday May 26 to Sunday June 11, though if you have an event in the week before or after that we are generally glad to include that in our programmes.
There is a charge of £50 per event: this sum has not been increased since 1066, and gets you in both our print and online programmes. There are reductions for repeat performances, series, etc., and you can add display advertising in the programme brochure.
For general information about putting a show into Bath Fringe see our website, this page www.bathfringe.co.uk/about-the-fringe/putting-a-show-into-bath-fringe/
For a more detailed checklist of what you need to do, a more comprehensive guide for artists is here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1gsOVFjNf9n7uIK5Hzbw40GKsuI55vW0zphzvdbfHXbU/edit?usp=sharing
If you’re a new Fringe venue, there’s a similar guide for you here:

Both of these will be updated as appropriate.
If your show doesn’t yet have a venue, there are still suitable spaces for hire, although some of the traditionally ‘best’ venues are already booked [in some cases months ago]. See our comprehensive list here www.bathfringe.co.uk/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/BATH-FRINGE-VENUES-LIST-2023-in-progress.pdf
or via the Fringe Website ‘Links & Downloads’ page.
Our 2023 artwork will shortly be announced. It’s great.
If what you do fits better with Visual/Plastic/Conceptual/Live/Digital/Video Arts, you might like to check out the application process to our friends Fringe Arts Bath, whose festival runs concurrently. There is no need to be in both programmes. www.fringeartsbath.co.uk/
